A Blueprint. To me, a blueprint means to serve as a model and provide guidance. As an Honors Architectural Engineering Student and Cheatham-White Scholar at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, I am in the early years of my educational journey, creating a solid base that will only grow and become sturdier as I continue. This base is my blueprint. In my circumstance, the word blueprint holds a double meaning. In the literal architectural sense, it represents designing the structure of a building. Figuratively, as a black man in engineering, my blueprint can further shape the perspective and approach of many other people of color. Following graduation, I strive to find a successful architectural or construction position where I can make a difference in the community. As an aspiring architectural engineer, my ultimate goal is to leverage the skills I have learned to create innovative and progressive designs that meet the needs of communities. One of my biggest passions is promoting diversity in the STEM field, a field that people of color are not often recognized, to inspire the tumultuous future of many engineers and architects of color. Through my hard work in school and out, I aim to leave a lasting impact that showcases why representation and resilience are so crucial in architectural engineering.

   Facilities Intern at CBRE, working on the ExxonMobil account team; supporting project managers with facility maintenance workflows, shadowing engineering teams on infrastructure projects, and gaining hands-on exposure to building systems, site operations, and technical problem-solving within a large-scale industrial environment.
