Principal Duties: Reporting to the manager of Clinical Informatics, the Clinical Informatics Specialist is responsible for supporting providers and other care team members ensuring that clinical information systems are functioning properly, and constantly exploring opportunities to enhance these systems. The following are detailed job responsibilities of the role: •Requirements Analysis: Gather and document clinical needs and requirements for healthcare technology and informatics systems. •System Design and Configuration: Collaborate with technical teams to design and configure systems aligned with clinical requirements and standards. •Workflow Optimization: Analyze and improve clinical workflows, enhancing efficiency and patient safety. •System Implementation and Training: Assist in implementing systems and provide training to ensure effective utilization. •Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and interpret healthcare data for decision-making and quality improvement. •Change Management: Facilitate smooth adoption of new technologies, addressing resistance and promoting acceptance. •System Testing and Quality Assurance: Participate in testing to ensure systems meet requirements and address any issues. •Clinical Support: Provide technical assistance and troubleshoot system-related issues for clinical staff. •Policy and Compliance: Stay updated on healthcare regulations and ensure systems adhere to legal and ethical requirements. •Research and Evaluation: Engage in research projects to assess the effectiveness and potential improvements of informatics technologies. •Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective collaboration between clinical and technical stakeholders.
