Performed the daily system administration tasks like managing system resources and end users support operations and security. Setup the Chef servers, chef workstations, chef nodes and involved in bootstrapping new infrastructure chef nodes. Deployed and configured Chef Server and Chef Solo including bootstrapping of Chef Client nodes for provisioning. Wrote Chef Cookbook, recipes to automate installation of Middleware Infrastructure like Apache tomcat, jdk, and configuration tasks for new environments etc. Worked with Ansible playbooks for virtual and physical instance provisioning, Configuration management and patching through Ansible. Create and maintain fully automated CI/CD pipelines for code deployment using Jenkins. Architected and implemented automated cloud infrastructure using Chef. Deployed a new cloud infrastructure using Cloud Formation to set key parameters, descriptions, re- sources and properties. Implemented and designed AWS Instances by Ansible roles to ensure deployment of web applications Highly proficient in Python and Java, Node JS Used Bash and Python, included Boto3 to supplement automation provided by Ansible and Terraform for tasks such as encrypting EBS volumes backing AMIs and scheduling Lambda functions for routine AWS tasks. Managed deployment activities for multiple server instances by enabling password less SSH communication between the servers and utilizing the synchronize utility in the Shell scripts. Involved in building docker files and images, establishing docker image repositories and container orchestration tools like Docker Swarm. Used Kubernetes to orchestrate the deployment, scaling and management of Docker containers. Defined AWS Security Groups which acted as virtual firewalls that controlled the traffic allowed to reach one or more AWS EC2 instances. Used Terraform scripts to configure AWS resources. Defined dependencies and plug-ins in Maven pom.xml for various activities and integrated Maven with GIT to manage and deploy project related tags. Developed Cloud Formation scripts and utilized Cloud Formation Templates to automate launch of EC2 instances and deploying AWS resources using those templates. Working on Multiple AWS instances, set the security groups, Elastic Load Balancer and AMIs, Auto scaling to design cost effective, fault tolerant and highly available systems. Wrote Python and Shell scripts to monitor installed enterprise applications and to get Managed configurations of multiple servers using Chef. Created and managed a Docker deployment
