ABOUT KHADY SAMB
Doctorante en anthropologie médicale à l’Université Laval, je mène des recherches sur la santé maternelle au Sénégal et au Québec, avec un focus particulier sur la prééclampsie. Mon travail explore l’articulation entre les pratiques biomédicales et les savoirs socioculturels locaux, dans le cadre d’une étude comparative entre ces deux contextes, afin de mieux comprendre les parcours des femmes confrontées à la prééclampsie et d’informer les interventions en santé maternelle. Je suis ouverte aux collaborations académiques et projets de recherche internationaux.|| PhD Candidate in Medical Anthropology at Université Laval, I conduct research on maternal health in Senegal and Quebec, with a particular focus on preeclampsia. My work explores the interaction between biomedical practices and local sociocultural knowledge, within the framework of a comparative study between these two contexts, aiming to better understand women’s experiences with preeclampsia and to inform maternal health interventions. I am open to academic collaborations and international research projects.||
