About Khadiza Murshida
Khadiza Murshida is a BSW student at Buffalo State University, honing her focus on mental health support and clinical social work. She has experience working with children and adults in a variety of settings, including schools, universities, summer camps, crisis lines, and social service agencies. Volunteering and participating in social justice advocacy and activism- through local community agencies, movements such as Justice for Migrant Families WNY, Friends of Night People, LOLA, and her secretary role at Child Advocacy Club at Buffalo State- all are integral to the work she hopes to do in the community and her career. Khadiza has recently committed to the MSW program at University at Buffalo starting May 2026, and is excited to further her education to continue to support and serve underserved populations. She is passionate about social justice and public health, and aims to be an LCSW practicing through a decolonial and anti-carceral lens- as outlined in the NASW code of ethics. She is always open to continuing education and professional development opportunities- as she believes learning and expanding knowledge never truly stops.
