ABOUT KHADIM FAYE
For over 10 years, I have been a dedicated and enthusiastic fitness and physical education teacher, committed to fostering physical fitness and positive health habits in students and communities. Currently, I work as a fitness/PE teacher at New Visions Public Charter Schools, where I design and implement dynamic lesson plans and activities that align with New York State learning standards while embracing the school’s mission to empower and inspire students.I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching in Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy from Manhattanville College and a Bachelor of Technology in Technology Management from SUNY Morrisville. Additionally, I possess a range of licenses and certifications, including CPR/AED, Child Abuse Maltreatment, School Violence Prevention, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging for Students, and Adventure Education. My extensive background as a certified coach and sports instructor has allowed me to work with diverse student-athletes and youth, fostering commitment, discipline, and teamwork.Having taught all grades from Kindergarten to 12th grade, I have had the unique privilege of witnessing the transformative journey of students as they navigate through the New York City school system. This experience has deepened my understanding of the challenges and triumphs they encounter at every stage of their academic and personal growth. I am passionate about promoting health and well-being, striving to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where all students can thrive and achieve their potential.
