ABOUT KHADIDJA KELALECH

I am currently a Research Assistant at the School of Education, University of Leicester, UK. I earned a Ph.D. from the University of Leicester, focusing on online misogyny towards Algerian female university students. I am currently engaged in three international projects exploring refugee women\'s experiences in Turkey and Germany, the relationship between women\'s financial independence and peacebuilding in Algeria, and entrepreneurship challenges faced by Internally Displaced Women (IDPWs) in Zambia and Ethiopia. I also consult on curriculum development and decolonisation, contributing to decolonising initiatives in Higher Education in the UK and beyond.I studied Didactics and Education Studies (BA and MA) in Algeria and taught in Algerian Middle Schools and Universities before completing a PhD in Education at the University of Leicester, UK. My PhD in Education was funded by the Algerian Government. Interests:My research interests are located in women\'s studies. In particular, I research women\'s access to education in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, women refugees\' experiences of integration in their new localities, and the role of financial independence in women\'s empowerment. I also research reflexivity in feminist research and creative narrative methodology. I am an aspiring novelist and currently drafting my first novel,\'Tree of Hope\', which will be published soon.
