I lead product coverage and commerce strategy that supports Outside’s mission to get everyone outside—whether that means summiting peaks, camping under the stars, riding trails, or simply finding new ways to connect with nature.At Outside Interactive Inc, our mission is to get everyone outside. You don’t have to be summiting a 14er or going on an epic bikepacking adventure or sending it up the nose of El Cap (unless that’s your thing). You just need to get outside. We want more people exploring parks, more people sleeping under the stars, more people wading in rivers and riding on dirt. We want more people connecting with nature in whatever way feels natural to them- Lead vision and strategy for all product-focused coverage across Outside’s portfolio, including Outside, Backpacker, Ski, Run, and Outside magazine- Oversee a centralized gear team responsible for editorial reviews, testing trips, affiliate revenue, and multi-brand product storytelling- Manage and mentor editors while driving cross-company initiatives such as Black Friday gear events, video content pipelines, and affiliate revenue growth strategies- Partner with product, sales, and affiliate teams to optimize UX, strengthen partnerships, and maximize impact- Fully remote leadership role with company-wide collaboration at its core.
