I assure exploration opportunity evaluations, including safety-critical subsurface predictions for well design, as part of Shell’s Subsurface Capability Team. In my role as Subject Matter Expert-Subsalt Interpretation, I coach 1-on-1 and teach classes on the methods of sub-salt seismic interpretation, and I help teams improve their seismic image and subsurface descriptions through interpretive imaging: using principles of salt tectonics to improve the velocity model for PSDM and as input for FWI. I have identified, matured, and developed prospects with seismic imaging challenges in a variety of geologic and commercial settings, and I have helped plan and execute development, appraisal, NFE, and true frontier wells. I am a pre-salt and sub-salt prospector, teacher, and coach, but I have successfully stepped into team leadership roles as needed.
