About Katie Evridge

There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other”, scientist and author Douglas Hugh Everett. Throughout my struggles to make it in the film and television world, there are few people that understand what it takes to make their dreams come alive. This can be true of the event world as well. Events are about not only bringing people together, but potentially changing people\'s hearts through the speakers and other performers we choose as well as providing space for difficult and deep conversations. Having a hand in everything from what venue we use to caterers and flower or entertainment companies, we touch almost industry out there. I have been inspired to want to create a series of virtual events targeting event planners and their suppliers that would be a mixture of education, engagement, and entertainment all related to the seventeen sustainable goals as created by the United Nations. From my research and observation I believe there is a disconnect between both the marketing of sustainable products and services as well as the audience that is having these conversations. I would like to help bridge that disconnect.
