ABOUT KEVIN M. WONG 黃浩文
Kevin Wong, Ph.D, is an Associate Professor and Chair of the TESOL program at Pepperdine University in the Graduate School of Education and Psychology. He is also Associate Editor of the International Journal of Bilingual Education and Bilingualism, Co-Editor of The CATESOL Journal and Managing Editor of The Teacher Advocate. Kevin is a former elementary school teacher and current scholar of language learning and early biliteracy development in K-12 (primary and secondary) contexts. His research examines bi/multilingual teaching and learning in dual language schools, where he considers how centering the races, languages, and cultures of diverse communities can create equitable educational opportunities for all children. Kevin also engages in language and identity research with/for multiracial children, as informed by his lived experience and joyous journey through parenthood.Beyond academia, Kevin is passionate about children’s literacy and serves as a literacy advisor for PBS Kids, contributing to projects such as SuperWhy\'s Comic Book Adventures, Jamming on the Job, and Work it Out, Wombats!Follow Kevin @TheBilingualProfessor on TikTok, Instagram, and Youtube.
