ABOUT KEVIN VALCKE

I have 10 years of experience in sports physiotherapy in a variety of settings. I started my journey in 2015 when I completed a Sports Physiotherapy Fellowship through UBC/Allan McGavin Sports Medicine Clinic in Vancouver, BC. Afterwards, I remained working clinically at at the Allan McGavin Sports Medicine Clinic on UBC Campus and working with UBC Varsity Athletics. I began working generally with all athletes and team and transitioned to working specifically with Men\'s and Women\'s Swimming, Men\'s Basketball, and Men\'s Rugby from 20••••22. In 2023, I left my clinical work to move to a full-time role with Volleyball Canada - Women\'s National Team as the Lead-Physiotherapist and Medical Coordinator. This role involved working both in Canada, as well as traveling with the Senior National Team during the international season. I oversaw the entire Women\'s National Team programs, ranging from the developmental U17 and National Excellence Programs to the Senior National team. from a medical and therapy perspective. With a budding family, In April 2025 I decided to step away from this full-time role and get back into clinical work here in Vancouver, BC. I currently have clinical hours at two locations - Allan McGavin Sports Medicine Clinic - Yaletown location, and at Rebalance MD Broadway. I see a variety of clients at each clinic, but my passion is with active individuals and high-performance athletes. I remain as part of the Volleyball Canada family in a contractor basis, with continued work with the Women\'s National Team both locally in Vancouver, and in a part-time traveling basis. I really enjoy working with young athletes who have goals of enhancing their potential. I have a special interest and much experience in foot and ankle, knee, low-back, and shoulder injuries.
