Knowles is a global organization which produces microphones on a global stage. I had the opportunity to work as a Finance intern and see how these different aspects (Global, Technology, Finance) all tie in to make a successful and growing business. At Knowles, I did various things such as: • Managed and led the Corporate Social Project where we were able to donate over to Minds Matter, an organization who focuses on helping accomplished students from low-income families • Standardized a monthly R&D Spend Analysis for all departments using Oracle Hyperion, GLWand, and Excel • Gathered and consolidated fixed assets from all sites globally and created an automated template which projects depreciation expense for the next 7 years • Broke down BOM costs into common raw material components and cross-compared different product lines to identify cost-down opportunities
