I am the lead laboratorian on the urine cannabinoid metabolite assay and have helped to develop additional methods for detecting cannabinoids in Bronchoalveolar-Lavage Fluid (BAL) and in the vaped extract of products determined to cause the 2020 epidemic of e-cigarette or vaping product use-associated lung injury (EVALI). I am responsible for all sample preparation, specimen collection and distribution, instrument validation and maintenance, automation systems, and data processing as well as the manufacture and creation of chemical reagents needed to operate the assay. In order to improve sample throughput and consistent analysis, I wrote Hamilton Syntax Language (HSL) programs for chemical sample preparations of cannabinoids in three separate matrices. I am also responsible for all assay inventory, ordering, and reporting of costs for sample analysis. I have served in CDC\'s Emergency Response\'s to EVALI across the US and Zika Virus in Puerto Rico.
