ABOUT KEVIN SINNOTT
I have worked in the Oil & Gas sector for over 20 years, with a focus on light to heavy oil assets across multiple formations in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba and is a testament to my dedication and technical acumen. I am a very passionate professional and person that thrives at solving old and new challenges to maximize the reservoirs that I am tasked with ‘cracking the nut’. My passion to meet and exceed the goals in my role starts with me analyzing the raw geological data, honoring the data, and rebuilding the geological interpretation to determine the reservoir parameters for each pool. I marry the old (~1960’s raster\'s) with the modern digital logs to redefine each pool’s OOIP/ROIP from petrophysical analysis. My role as a Senior Geologist has been central to drilling innovative multi-lateral horizontals, supervising operations, leveraging my exploration and development expertise to fully execute A&D projects, maximize waterflood development, and facking. With a rich professional background, my competencies in development planning, volumetric analysis, and geosteering with StarSteer have been instrumental in posting record-breaking drilling in-zone results in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, we\'ve established processes that enhance well performance, safety, and production targets. My commitment to project excellence is demonstrated through rigorous log & core analysis, database management, and the successful integration of cutting-edge software solutions. These efforts culminate in not just meeting, but exceeding project deliverables on schedule. Lastly, I take pride in mentoring emerging professionals and fostering a culture of mutual learning and respect within the geoscientific community.
