About Kevin Polky
I have worked in the counseling field since 1990, focusing primarily on mental health and addiction work. I have had an opportunity to serve as a coach in football and strength and conditioning since 1995 for local school districts in the Rockford area. Also, I have enjoyed working as a consultant for local businesses, schools and churches since 2001.In 2001, I opened kp counseling, inc. and I am enjoying leading some of the best counselors, 9 counselors total, in the Rockford area.In 2010, I opened Four Corners Wellness Center, Inc. featuring clinical counseling, chiropractic, nutrition, massage and fitness.I continue to volunteer at Rockford Christian School, Bethseda Covenant Church and for the Winnebago County States Attorney\'s office.

Shatter Our Silence was created in response to my son, Kalab\'s three classmates dying as a result of suicide. Knowing I needed to do more I reached out to other liked mind individuals to raise awareness and break the stigma around suicide and the factors that lead to suicide.Shatter Our Silence (SOS), a non-for-profit, mission is to raise awareness and educate others about the factors that lead to suicide in young adults (14-25 year old)
