About Kevin Ainsworth

Kevin is Chair of the firm’s Cross Border Asset Recovery Practice focusing on complex commercial litigation, often international. He is a “Litigation Star” (selected by Benchmark Litigation) and has been recognized annually since 2010 as a “Super Lawyer.”He recently obtained more than for a client through strategic litigation in the U.S. to enforce a Singapore arbitration award against Philippine defendants. He has represented institutional investors, including banks, financial services firms, and other stakeholders in complex international disputes with more than a billion dollars at stake. Kevin also skillfully litigates patent and trademark disputes for clients in the retail & consumer brands, technology, and manufacturing industries. He has protected the intellectual property of some of the world’s largest brands as well as newer companies developing their rights. Notably, he secured an extremely rare preliminary injunction on behalf of Spin Master Ltd, a toy manufacturer, in a contentious patent infringement case and succeeded in stopping the importation and sale of infringing products.He graduated cum laude from Fordham University School of Law where he was editor-in-chief of the Fordham Urban Law Journal, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. Kevin clerked for the Honorable Kevin Thomas Duffy, US District Judge, SDNY, during the trial and conviction of international terrorist Ramzi Yousef.Before law school, Kevin served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He has long been an avid and active supporter of veterans’ causes. He served as director and general counsel to the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation, and served as a director and general counsel of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. He has served on other non-profit boards including the Warrior Ranch Foundation. He also has appeared on television nationally numerous times as a spokesperson for the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation.Kevin is a competitive bullseye pistol shooter and has earned a Distinguished Pistol Shot Badge and a Distinguished.22 Rimfire Pistol Badge.
