I lead risk by focusing on how customers move through the business. Across more than two decades in loss prevention, investigations, organized retail crime, fraud, and payments-adjacent risk, my role has evolved as risk has shifted from physical environments to digital transactions and customer behavior. My focus today is on building digital trust across the full customer journey—reducing fraud while minimizing friction, improving approval rates, and protecting revenue. I’ve led measurable improvements in fraud reduction, chargebacks, approval rates, and operational efficiency by aligning risk decisions to business outcomes rather than controls alone. I began my career in physical loss prevention and investigations, building a foundation in protecting people, assets, and operations at scale. As the business evolved, I expanded into enterprise investigations, ORC strategy, fraud mitigation, and transaction reconciliation and payment error resolution—ensuring accurate financial outcomes while improving process clarity across teams. My approach is grounded in listening first. I work to understand where teams experience friction, what drives cost or risk, and how decisions impact both the customer and the business. Effective risk management requires knowing when to act—and when not to. As a leader, I focus on building strong, accountable teams that operate with trust, challenge ideas respectfully, and consistently deliver results. I measure success by how well the team performs and grows, not by control over the process. I do my best work in organizations navigating growth and complexity, where leaders value practical problem-solving, alignment, and long-term thinking.
