As a member of the Democracy Program at The Carter Center, I organize, coordinate and plan operational facets of the Democracy Program’s projects, particularly in the Democratic Republic of the Congo for the Carter Center\'s Citizen Observation activities. I work closely with the staff at The Carter Center\'s office in Kinshasa as well as with consultants and external experts to achieve project goals.In this capacity, I also conduct research and develop publications for project needs while representing the program at international meetings and conferences, and networks with affiliated groups. Furthermore, I write or develop project and budget documents, reports, speeches, briefings, newsletters, promotional materials, grants or other written materials related to the Citizen Observation program and other Democracy Program initiatives with The Carter Center\'s Democracy Program work in the DRC and around the world.Finally, I assist in identifying funding resources and developing fund-raising strategies and initiatives while preparing operational reports to assist in effective decision-making. Likewise, I coordinate relevant budgeting, grant and sub-grants, accounting, and program files and monitor project expenditures. In this role, I also help supervise interns, work-study students, volunteers.
