Aviation Leader | STEM Advocate | Public Speaker | Aspiring Non-Executive DirectorWith over three decades of experience in UK air traffic control, I currently lead the Tactical & Pre-tactical FMP teams within Network Operations Delivery at NATS, overseeing 24/7 air traffic flow and capacity management across the London and Scottish FIRs, and working closely with AirNav Ireland and the wider Eurocontrol Network. My background spans operational, strategic, and leadership roles, supported by a live operational Flow Management qualification.I’m passionate about demystifying complex systems and making them accessible—whether optimising flow efficiency in real time or engaging public audiences through talks and outreach. As a registered STEM Ambassador, I regularly deliver aviation and astronomy-themed sessions to schools, air museums, and community groups, and have presented to a wide range of audiences. I’m also developing a portfolio of enrichment talks for cruise ship audiences, covering the inner workings of air traffic control and the wonders of the night sky.Alongside speaking and mentoring, I’m exploring opportunities to contribute at a strategic level as a non-executive board member. I am especially interested in supporting charities that work with individuals with disabilities, including causes aligned with cerebral palsy and inclusive education—an area close to my heart as a parent and advocate.
