I build and lead engineering teams at mission-driven companies.Over 20 years, I\'ve managed teams from 6 to 30+ engineers while scaling organizations from single-digits to 100+ developers, delivering products across climate tech, mental health, and education. I\'ve been a Director managing 30 engineers through hypergrowth, an engineering leader helping build a startup from scratch, and as a specialist focused on engineering effectiveness and organizational scaling. I\'m driven to create positive impact through technology while helping people do their best work of their lives.Throughout my career I\'ve established engineering practices that became company standards, led compliance initiatives, mentored engineering managers, and managed multi-million dollar budgets. Whether through direct coaching or building the operational systems that enable scale, I focus on making organizations measurably more impactful.My approach is to find amazing people, then create the conditions for them to flourish by building the systems and culture to channel their inherent drive, passion, and creativity. We’re at a fascinating inflection point in the industry where LLMs are fundamentally changing how we develop software and unlocking human creativity in an incredible way. However this new technology does not change the core components of high performing teams.
