About Kevin L. Matthews

When I was just 13, I created my first marketing campaign using a slide deck and a series of emails to successfully negotiate a raise in my allowance. I didn’t know it at the time that marketing strategy, content creation, social media and storytelling would become the most exciting aspects of every role I’d have in my career. As a financial advisor, I led the efforts to increase client engagement and revenue by conducting marketing presentations and segmented email campaigns. By 2017, I was named in the Top 100 Most Influential Financial Advisors by Investopedia based on the strength of content, social following, and media hits. At the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs, I managed the marketing and creative media projects for the NYC Free Tax Prep program, which served more than families in 2019. Through these efforts we were able to get the word out and serve more people in our community. From the early days of my career as a financial advisor I learned that my most successful clients often had multiple streams of income. For that reason, I’ve always had projects outside of work, including small business marketing consulting and writing for several national publications as a personal finance contributor. Now that I’ve relocated to North Carolina, I’m excited to focus my attention and career on what I love the most…marketing!
