About Kevin Fitzgerald

I am a senior partner in Foley & Lardner’s Insurance Practice Group and provide insurance companies with corporate, transactional, and regulatory advice on all matters affecting the insurance industry. For over 25 years, I have spent virtually all of my time representing members of the insurance industry. I have counseled many clients on insurance regulatory and transactional matters. Transactions have included the purchase or sale of insurance companies and books of business, assumption and indemnity reinsurance, and other transactions. Regulatory work has involved virtually all aspects of insurance regulation, including holding company act matters, market conduct investigations, financial examinations, and “50 state surveys\" on a variety of insurance regulatory topics. In recent years, my work has also included the regulatory oversight being imposed on the insurance industry by the Federal Government.When not working, I continue my 40+ year endeavor to learn how to swing a golf club and hit the ball straight (I\'m not yet there).
