   As Volunteer Coordinator, plan and supervise delivery of all volunteer services. Responsible for recruiting, selecting and onboarding volunteers from the interview process through the TB test, background check, drug screen, physical exam and fingerprinting. Train and coach volunteers for clerical work and to provide compassion and care for our patients while supporting their families. Assign volunteers to service based on program needs and the volunteers\' interest and skills. Prepare services reports as required by the Director for Medicare/Medicaid compliance. Facilitate community awareness and support of the hospice volunteer program. Attend hospice Interdisciplinary Group meetings to discuss patients and liaise between volunteers and staff. Adhere to hospice standards and consistently interpret and accurately perform all assigned responsibilities. Attend Chamber of Commerce and Rotary events and networking meetings to make the community aware of the services provided by Gentiva Hospice.
