Planning and implementation management of current and future (NextGen) weapons system cybersecurity and risk authorizations. • Oversight of cybersecurity risk management for the MDA Ground Based Mid-Course Defense (GMD) weapons system, Enterprise Systems and the Directorate of Test on behalf of cognizant government official. • Management of Information Systems Security Officers (ISSO) and Information Systems Security Engineers (ISSE) under my portfolio to ensure implementation of IS policies, procedures and guidelines directed by DoD, MDA and Authorizing Official. • Enforcement of formal security program and policies for assigned area of responsibility including the GMD remote locations and Advanced Research Center (ARC) system labs. • Development, and enforcement of formal IS security program and policies for assigned area of responsibility. • Providing technical and procedural System (IS) Security guidance to government and industry teams. • Management of access control processes, cyber workforce requirements (DoD 8140/8570), control implementation, package Authorization to Operate (ATO) and control validation testing (CVT) assessments. • Coordinating with government and cognizant security official on approval of External Information Systems (e.g. tenants, guest systems, interconnected system with another organization). • Defending the American Way of Life from global threats.
