As a seasoned corporate affairs executive, I lead global crisis communications, public affairs, and policy communications at CrowdStrike, working to enhance, promote, and protect the company’s reputation worldwide. Previously, I led the company’s global public relations function across the US, EMEA, APAC, and LatAm.Before joining the cybersecurity leader, I served as the first Chief External Affairs Officer at CISA within the Department of Homeland Security from 2018—when President Trump signed CISA into law—through the end of his term.As an SES political appointee and senior official at CISA, I oversaw all media and congressional engagement across the agency and helped steer the newest federal agency through major national events, including the COVID “Essential Workers” release and the landmark SolarWinds hack. I drove CISA and the federal government’s communications response during SolarWinds, coordinating DHS and interagency partners across the administration to deliver rapid, consistent engagement with Congress, the private sector, media, and the American public.Before joining DHS, I led a state government agency as Chief of Staff to Josh Mandel, the Treasurer of Ohio, managing statewide operations, external affairs, and oversight of a $21B investment portfolio,$224B pension custody portfolio, and $11B debt portfolio.Prior to my state and federal experience, I served on Capitol Hill in a variety of roles for Congressman Dave Joyce (OH-14), leading his office in D.C. as Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director, as well as managing his political operation and campaigns.
