About Kevin Armstrong
Kevin Armstrong is an accomplished legal and business executive with experience leading teams and advising management and the board on complex contract negotiations, securities regulation, ESG, corporate governance, government affairs, enterprise risk management, mergers and acquisitions, spinoff transactions, information security, data privacy, litigation, and intellectual property for private and publicly traded and companies. Kevin’s experience also includes advising management on business strategy matters. Most recently, Kevin served as general counsel and chief legal officer for Docupace Technologies, the leader in cloud-based fintech digital operations software for the wealth management industry, where he oversaw all legal matters and directed risk, compliance, audit, and governance functions for Docupace. During his time at Docupace, Kevin played a key role in the company’s growth strategy focused on strategic acquisitions and expanding into Europe and Canada. Kevin formed and led the company’ first ESG committee and drove its government affairs initiatives. Kevin having served as General Counsel, Chief Legal Officer & Chief Compliance Officer in complex technology companies, banks and broker dealers, Kevin is a proven result-oriented business leader, with expertise across SaaS, enterprise software, APIs, artificial intelligence, and fintech initiatives in multiple industries. Kevin was named to the Savoy Magazines’ 2018 and 2022 list of the nations “Most Influential Black Lawyers,” and in 2013, he received a CUP Catalyst: Change Agent award from the Council of Urban Professionals (CUP). In addition to obtaining degrees in business management and in law, Kevin holds Series 4, 7, 9, 10, 24, 63 and 65 securities licenses. He is an active member of the Corporate Law Section of the National Bar Association (“NBA”), the Minnesota Chapter of the Association of Corporation Counsel (“ACC”) and the Minnesota Chapter of the Private Directors Association (“PDA”).
