I created ECO (Equity Cannabis Oakland) to normalize cannabis, support social equity, and create/distribute cannabis education- Eco cannabis is a vertically integrated seed-to-sale social equity cannabis business- I incubate eight (8) social equity businesses at our Oakland, CA cannabis campus, which allowed me to start Eco’s vision and mission- I hire 100% Oakland residents, 50% of which have a former incarcerations- I purchase 50% of the products we sell at ECO from the social equity businesses we support, thus supporting the entire social equity \"ECO SYSTEM\" within the city of Oakland- I created Eco cannabis to give people who deserve it a second chance- I want to show, through example, that hiring those with former incarcerations can work- I’m so grateful for the opportunity to provide second chances to those deserving. The results so far are truly remarkable- We’ve all needed a second chance, however, rarely do we look to give one to those formerly incarcerated- The legalization of cannabis give me an opportunity to change that.
