ABOUT KEVIN WAGNER

I am currently a Facilities Management Representative at General Motors at the Oshawa Assembly plant. I have graduated through different facilities roles over the last 6 years managing energy conservation, maintenance and housekeeping, engaging with service providers, contractors, and internal business partners. Previous to GM, I was at WOLF Advanced Technology as an Application Engineer - a role that allowed me to pull from my education and experience in engineering, electronics, manufacturing, and R&D. My diverse experience lead me to a unique position where I was able to contribute to many different areas on both the technical and business side of the company. I graduated from the Energy Systems Engineering Program at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) in 2014. Between my 3rd and 4th year I took a one year internship working for a construction management company specializing in wind and solar projects. While studying at UOIT I had the terrific opportunity to work on campus at the Clean Energy Research Lab as a lab assistant where I aided in the development of systems that will be able to utilize waste heat from power generating plants and industrial processes to generate power directly or to produce hydrogen as an energy storage medium. I have several years of energy and facilities management experience as well as a strong electronics background in manufacturing and R&D. I Finished top of my class in two programs at Sheridan College: Electronics Engineering Technology (Advanced Diploma) and Business Process Management (Graduate Certificate).
