ABOUT KEVIN VERSHAY

Kevin Vershay was a Routine Facilitator II for Rolling Mill at the Wilton Mill for Gerdau. He worked worked on: managing a maintenance team, improving equipment designs for better reliability, optimizing preventive maintenance schedule, restructuring the shop, routine and outage planning, etc. To always strive on learning, Kevin has acquired a house that needs to be entirely remodeled that he plans to do himself, e.g, plumbing, wiring, framing, drywall, windows, siding, roofing, flooring, etc. With other time, Kevin fits in running, meeting new people and traveling. Kevin graduated at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He majored in Mechanical Engineering with over a 3.20 GPA. Beyond the course work, Kevin enjoyed getting out and experiencing the world around him. In the start of his senior year, Kevin joined an APA billiards 8 and 9 ball team for the first time and has traveled around town to play. Kevin’s passion in life since a kid was improving things. Throughout high school, Kevin was deeply involved in industrial classes (i.e, woodshop, construction, welding, drafting) where he was able to use his love for process improvement. Kevin was awarded with the Industry award for taking the most and getting the highest GPA in the industry classes. Kevin’s past experience includes Reliability Engineer II - AR Dept, Routine Facilitator I - AR Dept, Management Associate - Melt Shop Dept & Rolling Mill. Various past responsibilities include: FMEAs, Outage planning, excel report macros, document retention, SAP trainer, process improvements, troubleshooting down equipment, failure analysis, Vibration analysis, inferred, oil analysis, ultrasound, etc.
