About Kevin Sway
Born and raised in Humboldt County CA, I have had the privilege of being exposed to all things outdoors. My upbringing under the elusive and isolating redwoods has given me a unique perspective to the alluring and humbling nature of our shared planet. Being half Chinese, my driving forces in life have been my love for the outdoors and my multi cultural identity. This led me to study sociology at UCSB with emphasis in global relations and interpersonal development. Throughout my years, I have worked as a politician, in the retail and service industries, in a call center, and most recently in tech sales. My commitment to sustainability and interconnectedness highlight the accomplishments of my time at UCSB. These include: lobbying for composting, serving as the UCSB representative for UCSA transfer coalition, and writing for SexInfo Online. Years of work experience, in multiple fields, has expanded my repertoire of working skills and encouraged me to pursue my passion for the environment.
