ABOUT KEVIN R. KANE

Kevin Kane has extensive experience in state and federal criminal investigations and prosecutions, and is an attorney, licensed in Pennsylvania. Mr. Kane was a FBI Special Agent for over 20 years, serving as a Special Agent, Counsel, and Supervisor. Mr. Kane currently conducts investigations to support the initiation and prosecution of complex securities fraud, corporate fraud, whistleblower, and False Claims Act litigation at the law firm of Kessler, Topaz, Meltzer & Check, LLP. Mr. Kane formerly provided expert consulting assistance to the FBI to locate and seize assets for forfeiture in civil and criminal actions, gaining extensive experience with Bank Secrecy Act and money laundering violations. Mr. Kane\'s expertise resulted in successful seizures and forfeitures in numerous complex federal criminal investigations and prosecutions. While serving in the FBI, Mr. Kane conducted and managed hundreds of federal investigations for offenses including terrorism, organized crime, RICO, money laundering, tax fraud, health care fraud, insurance fraud, securities fraud, bank robbery, bank fraud, extortion, public and police corruption, civil rights violations, FDA violations, computer crimes, murder and narcotics trafficking. Mr. Kane served as counsel to the FBI\'s Philadelphia Division, where he provided legal advice to executive management, supervisors and agents on a myriad of investigative, operational, personnel and compliance issues. During his time as counsel, Mr. Kane served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Kane was an Assistant District Attorney in Chester County, PA for 4 years, where he prosecuted hundreds of defendants in state court. Mr. Kane tried numerous jury trials and non-jury trials.
