About Kevin Moore
For almost 25 years Kevin J. Moore has represented family-owned and closely-held businesses in connection with their estate planning and business litigation needs. This includes tax planning, tax avoidance, succession planning, corporate formation, international tax planning, creation of wills and trusts, as well as probate and trust litigation. Kevin has extensive experience advising family-owned businesses and their owners who have a net worth of $10 million or more. These families often own substantial real estate holdings in a variety of states and foreign countries. Many of these businesses involve multiple generations, a family patriarch or matriarch and children, some of whom may be actively involved in running or working the business. Kevin’s probate litigation often involves disputes among family members, heirs, and trustees. He has represented clients in state and federal courts throughout California in disputed probate matters such as wills and trusts contests and allegations that trustees breached their fiduciary duties. Kevin’s business litigation experience includes representing owners of commercial and residential properties in property assessment disputes in administrative hearings before taxing authorities such as county tax assessors offices throughout California. His business litigation experience focuses on representing business entities and business owners in disputes involving allegations of unfair business practices, breach of contract, fraud, misrepresentation, and misappropriation of trade secrets. Kevin’s practice has a strong international component. A significant portion of his clients are non-resident aliens who invest in U.S. real property and businesses. In addition, Kevin worked as an attorney in Salzburg, Austria for more than three years and is adept in collaborating with German-speaking clients. Kevin also serves clients who have family connections or real estate holdings and business concerns in Europe and Asia.
