About Kevin Mooney
I have the privilege of leading the Privacy & Regulatory Legal Group at Surescripts, supporting all legal verticals as well as partnering with key stakeholders and leadership across the enterprise. Prior to this role I served 20 years in several leadership roles at Cleveland Clinic helping Cleveland Clinic earn its status as the #1 smart tech hospital in the world, exercising the practical ability to understand and integrate strategy, operations, and tactical levels into enterprise goals. This included building and managing the IT/IP/Cyber legal practice, building and managing the Data Governance Office, co-building the AI Governance structure, founding the Northeast Ohio CyberConsortium and serving on its board, and speaking nationally about these various disciplines. My expertise ranges from contract/tech commercial and intellectual property law to AI and cybersecurity to global healthcare information and privacy regulations, to data governance and AI governance. I have successfully innovated first to market technologies and empowered and blended both the functions of in-house counsel and data management into the fabric of the business to which it supports.
