About Kevin Montes Salas

Hello, I’m Kevin Montes Salas, a Junior studying Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University with a strong passion for RTL design, digital VLSI, and design verification. I enjoy working at the intersection of circuit level fundamentals and large scale silicon systems.I’ve had the opportunity to intern at Microsoft as a Silicon Engineer Intern, where I’ve contributed to verification and AI-assisted design workflows that bridge traditional RTL development with next-generation tooling. Through coursework and projects at Cornell, I’ve worked on computer architecture (RISC-V), semiconductor devices, and digital/analog circuit design, giving me a strong foundation across the hardware stack.Looking ahead, I’m excited to pursue full-time opportunities in RTL design, VLSI/physical design, and design verification where I can contribute to building reliable, efficient, and scalable silicon systems.Always open to connecting with professionals in the hardware and semiconductor community — feel free to reach out!
