As the Global Head of Data and Analytics, I am a strategic data leader responsible for shaping the future of enterprise-wide analytics and insight. I define and execute a forward-thinking data strategy that delivers measurable value aligned to business goals. A key part of my role is managing a team of 7-14 data professionals and the data and analytics budget covering all expenditures for vendors, infrastructure, software, and personnel. I embed data as a strategic asset across the organisation, working closely with my team and external partners like Accenture and Teklink.My duties encompass a wide range of activities:Enterprise Data Strategy & Technology Leadership: I define the group-wide data strategy, championing innovation and aligning our technology road map with business objectives. I partner with technology vendors such as Microsoft and SAP to ensure we leverage the best tools for our needs.Data Governance & Compliance: I champion robust governance frameworks, ensuring high standards of data quality, compliance with regulations (GDPR, SOX), and effective data stewardship.BI Solutions & Insight Delivery: I lead the adoption of scalable BI platforms to translate complex data into actionable insights. I work with core platforms like SAP and Microsoft, as well as specialised tools like Celonis for process mining.Cross-Business Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: I build trusted relationships with senior leaders and teams to identify opportunities for data-driven improvement and ensure alignment of initiatives with strategic priorities.Innovation & Culture Change: I continuously explore emerging technologies and methodologies, staying informed by attending major vendor events like SAP TechEd, SAPPHIRE, Microsoft Ignite, and the Gartner Data & Analytics Summit. I also promote data literacy and a culture of evidence-based decision-making across the organisation through events like \'lunch and learn\'.
