ABOUT KEVIN MACKAY
Hello.Currently, I manage the development of DF Concerts & Events’ environmental sustainability programme, driving measurable progress across climate action, circular systems, communications, and stakeholder engagement. Inspired by a key role working on The People’s Summit during COP26, in 2022 I transitioned from venue operations, touring, and technical production to focus fully on sustainable event management. Since then, DF has embedded sustainability into its event operations, prioritising core metrics such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, positive behaviour change, and partnership creation. This year, the company is working with Hope Solutions – the team behind Coldplay’s sustainability strategy – to produce a Carbon Reduction Roadmap, charting a clear pathway to reduce emissions and deliver live events that contribute to a more sustainable future.I collaborate closely with internal teams and key suppliers to develop environmental targets, set standards, and foster a culture of accountability for our environmental impact. Beyond day-to-day operations, I manage budgets and oversee sustainability reporting, whilst contributing to industry-wide discussions to drive systemic change.
