RIG MANAGEMENT: Successfully manage daily operations and execute duties/responsibilities in the absence of the Thunder Horse Rig Manager. Effectively investigate emergencies and equipment failures to improve failed equipment and prevent future failures, as well as limiting downtime. Conduct a daily team call with the Rig Manager, offshore rig crew, other onshore support, and client representatives to review safety, current drilling operations, maintenance, and upcoming planning of the bp Thunder Horse PDQ and the bp Mad Dog Spar. PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Drive projects from ideation, design, detailed engineering, fabrication, and successful offshore installation in a challenging environment on an active platform. Embark offshore often to support the rig crew with projects, management assurance audits, inspections, and general crew support. Review status of ongoing projects, major maintenance, and other ad hoc work scope planning via agile management strategy with client. Collaborate closely among client, vendors, offshore rig team, internal departments (HR, Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, technical support team, etc.) dependent on the task at hand. Achieve efficiency and cost savings for client by leading the implementation of processes and procedures to execute managed engineering projects, Asset Maintenance System, and Supply Chain system for bp’s Thunder Horse PDQ and Mad Dog Spar. ASSET MANAGEMENT: Manage the asset life cycle through strong regulatory knowledge, oversight of maintenance performed, knowledge of maintenance systems, equipment failure investigations, and improvements.
