About Kevin Hernandez

After graduating from high school, Kevin Hernandez sought opportunities to work in public education, driven by a desire to help under-resourced communities overcome systemic barriers. He began his career with Academica, the largest educational service provider in the United States, where he discovered a passion for the EdTech space. Through his work at Academica, Kevin developed a deep understanding of public education—what works, what needs to change, and what must be done to ensure students have access to a better education and a more equitable chance at achieving their dreams. At Williams College, Kevin continued his commitment to equity in education by working with the First-Generation Advisory Board, serving as a Junior Advisor, and partnering with the Dean’s Office to better support students whose voices had historically been underrepresented.More recently, Kevin completed a two-year commitment with Teach For America, where he experienced firsthand the transformative potential of technology in schools when implemented effectively. Witnessing the impact of technological innovation on his students reinforced his belief that technology can play a critical role in breaking oppressive cycles and empowering every student—regardless of race, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, or other identities—to succeed. His long-term goal is to help students understand that their dreams are achievable and that they have the resources to pursue them.Kevin earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2025. He is currently a Consultant at Bain & Company in San Francisco, where he works in the Private Equity practice.
