About Kevin Boyle
If there is one (hyphenated) word that I could use to describe myself, it would be “problem-solver.” My family and friends know me as calm and level headed person, but nothing can get me more excited and animated than a problem in need of a solution. Whether that problem is the broken couch in need of repair, a BAJA car that needs to be shorter and lighter, or the 6th generation jet fighter that needs to be built, I take on each with the same passion and energy. My two summer internships with GE gave me many opportunities to hone my problem-solving skills. In my first internship, I was able to analyze engine data from the GEnx fleet and determine problems in the engines and develop pattern recognition algorithms to detect these problems automatically. During my second summer, I discovered an error in a database, and was tasked with figuring out a solution to the error and determining which data was correct and reliable. When I am not solving problems, I enjoy staying active. This has led me to my second passion of water polo. This started with my High School team, followed by playing at Notre Dame. After my fourth year of playing the sport, I felt comfortable enough to begin to pass on my knowledge and this past summer I helped found and coached a water polo program at my summer club in Cincinnati. This experience developed my leadership skills significantly. I was very successful in taking about 15 children who had never so much as touched a water polo ball and guide them individually and as a team to be proficient water polo players. If you would like more information or need a problem solver, please feel free to reach out.My Capabilities: Problem-solving, Communication, Engineering, Coding, Design, CAD, Presentation skills, Creativity, Teamwork, Leader
