ABOUT KEVIN LUK
Curious and dedicated scientist at Excision BioTherapeutics. Currently, working on developing nuclease approaches for the excision of latent viral genomes. Beyond my work with genome editing tools, I am interested in viral immunology, chromatin architecture, and bioinformatics tools and software. Prior to graduate school, I received my B.A. in Biology and Chemistry from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN) in 2014. As an undergraduate, I worked in Dr. Jennifer Bath’s laboratory at Concordia College, where I helped develop and test vaccines for hookworm in preclinical trials. In addition to my proficiency in advanced molecular biology techniques, my key skills include NGS (next generation sequencing) library construction, NGS data analyses, CRISPR mediated genome editing in mammalian cell lines, and recombinant protein purification. Additionally, I have developed interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills that will be beneficial in any scientific setting.
