Operating consulting firm and capacity-building organization which specializes in providing consulting services to tribal, nonprofit and governmental entities nationwide to build their capacity to collect, analyze and use data to elevate management practices, strengthen organizational advocacy, educate and inform constituents and supporters and correct the stories told about the communities they serve. Coordinated dozens of tribal needs assessments within tribal and Native lands ranging from Alaska to Hawaii to Wisconsin to Arizona. Served as one of three members of the technical expert group assisting the Indian Housing Block Grant (IHBG) Formula Negotiated Rulemaking Committee’s Data Study Group in its evaluation of current and potential data sources for the Indian Housing Block Grant (IHBG) formula. In addition to a wide range of tribal projects, Big Water Consulting conducted the statewide Assessment of the Housing Needs of American Indians, Alaska Natives and Native Hawaiians in Washington funded by the Washington State Department of Commerce, the \"We\'re Here. We Count.\" 2020 Census Outreach and Education project funded by the Washington State Office of Financial Management, and multiple tribal housing and homeownership needs studies sponsored by the South Dakota Native Homeownership Coalition. Big Water also serves as a training and technical assistance provider to the Department of Housing and Urban Development\'s Office of Native American Programs (ONAP), the National American Indian Housing Council (NAIHC), Enterprise Community Partners and Minnesota Housing Partnership (MHP).
