Hired as Recreation Supervisor in 1998. Promoted to Recreation Manager in Assistant General Manager in 2002 and General Manager in 2010. Under policy direction of the Board of Directors, develop and administer the annual budget of $17 million. Oversee the implementation of capital improvement projects including property acquisition, development and renovation. Prepare and administer local, state and federal grants. Utilize successful team building approach to hire, train, supervise and evaluate fifty-seven full time and two hundred fifty part time and seasonal team members. Supervise the coordination, maintenance and operations of community centers, gymnasiums, swimming pools, ball fields, executive golf course, skate parks, neighborhood parks, and satellite program sites. Direct the planning, staffing and organization of recreation classes, youth programs, sports leagues and tournaments, special events, contract services, facility rentals and concessions. Represent the District with and speak before community groups, city councils and commissions, county service area councils, schools and special interest groups. Establish and maintain relationships with the same. Work closely with local, county, state, and federal agencies to coordinate efforts to provide for the recreational and social service needs of the plus residents within the District’s boundaries.
