Utilized my 20 plus years of transmission system knowledge and experience to provide engineering guidance to other engineers on complex issues. Provided technical engineering support and mentoring to the following departments: System Protection Engineering, System Protection, Transmission and Distribution Operations, Substation Design, Substation O&M and Transmission and Distribution Planning. Served as a technical specialist in the areas of transmission protective relay settings and coordination, power system stability relay settings, and relay event analysis and root cause investigation. Assisted other departmental engineers in relay coordination studies to ensure that the transmission system comprising over 500 BES line terminals operates securely and reliably. Responsible for maintaining power swing blocking and out-of-step tripping relay settings for the SPS system to ensure correct operation of islanding schemes. Ensured issued relay settings were compliant with NERC Reliability Standards PRC-001, PRC-023 and PRC-026. Managed contract relay settings engineers to ensure projects were completed on schedule. Provided technical relay settings assistance as required.
