ABOUT KEVIN JOHNSON
As an Associate at Baker Donelson in the Financial Services Transactions Practice Group, I assist financial institutions and non-bank financing parties in structuring lending and leasing transactions, including equipment finance, synthetic leases, finance leases, and commercial real estate transactions. I joined the firm in August 2023, after completing my Juris Doctor at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where I was involved in the Business Law Society and Transactional Law Team. Prior to becoming an Associate, I worked as a Law Clerk and a Summer Associate at Baker Donelson, gaining valuable experience in research, writing, and litigation. I also have a background in public policy organizations, having worked, volunteered, and interned for several organizations including the federal government and other organizations related to energy efficiency, real estate, and manufacturing. My strengths include legal analysis, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. I am passionate about using my legal knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on society and to advance the mission and values of Baker Donelson by providing exemplary client service.
