Production tax is a subset of our corporate tax team with a unique and specialized knowledge of the film & television production business. The charge of the production tax team is twofold:1) address and resolve both domestic and international tax matters facing production; and2) maximize and monetize available film/TV production incentives for our global productions.On the tax side, we are responsible for structuring productions to minimize tax exposure, managing tax compliance, reviewing contracts and vendor agreements from a tax perspective, and analyzing tax issues related to cast & crew working in domestic and/or foreign jurisdictions.On the incentives side, we are charged with maximizing and monetizing our production tax incentives as quickly and efficiently as possible. This includes ensuring our production incentive structures work harmoniously with our tax and business structure, managing and tracking the incentive lifecycle from start to finish, analyzing incentive rules and regulations to accurately determine qualified spend, negotiating sales of transferable credits to 3rd parties, and working with our domestic corporate tax colleagues on internal credit utilization.Production tax also provides significant support to our Global Policy team on tax/incentive legislative and regulatory matters impacting our production business. We also liaise closely with global film commissions, trade organizations, and industry vendors on ways to enhance their local film industry.I manage a team of approximately 32 tax and finance professionals located across Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Singapore, Mexico City and London.
