A major part of my job is simply talking to people about their VAT issues. I enjoy meeting new people, hearing about what they\'re involved with and what issues they might have. I also enjoy keeping up to date with people I\'ve known for years. Whether I\'m talking at an event or on our telephone helpline, whether I\'m researching for a few hours and advising a client of my findings or sustaining a project over many months, it all starts with talking about what\'s happening and ends with providing clear, practical advice. Over the years, I\'ve worked with many clients on numerous projects, including the VAT liability of construction work and property transactions; on the continually changing VAT rules governing a wide variety of international transactions, including aircraft; VAT related to food and drink, agents, financial services, margin schemes, recovering input tax without invoices and guidance for VAT inspections.
