   I am currently employed with ShandsCair (Station 2 \"The Deuce\") located at UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital in The Villages of Central Florida- We operate out of a Bell 407GX and provide rotor-wing EMS and inter-facility hospital transport throughout Central and north Central Florida. EMS (primary response) services are provided within a 75 mile radius of our base- Our capabilities include primary stabilization for transport of critical patients with a comprehensive compliment of ICU-level therapeutics. We also have the ability to transport balloon pump/CAD (Impella)/VAD patients, targeted temperature post-resuscitation patients, tocolytics and monitoring for the critical PTL (or) high-risk L&D patients, as well as monitoring modalities and therapeutics to help support the active stroke patient. We carry whole blood and TXA, primarily with a PCG for administering to trauma patients on their way to a regional trauma center- Our clinical skill set includes RSI intubation with surgical airway, arterial and central line insertion, chest tube insertion, and escharotomy, to name a few, with other surgical skill sets as defined by local PCG/medical director approval. In addition, we have ultrasound and video laryngoscopy capabilities. We are routinely updated and tested in serial skills labs on these as well as other high-risk procedures to keep current as part of our required proficiency. Clinical skills are reinforced with regular practice and scenario-driven assessments at the Medical Science & Research facilities of UF Health here in Gainesville, Florida.I’m exceptionally proud to be a part of this outstanding team and representing one of the most respected research and referral hospitals in the Southeast US.
