Line management of the Finance Administration team (7 individuals)- Ensure financial records are maintained, supported by full monthly accounting processes and systems of internal control. This includes review of all balance sheet control accounts, including VAT submissions- Finance lead for the largest school within the Trust, liaising regularly with the Headteacher and other senior leadership to ensure accurate reporting which aids decision making. Also Finance lead for a number of central budgets, liaising regularly with the budget holders- Ensure the Trust meets the requirements of the Finance Regulations, Academies Financial Handbook and Academies Accounts Direction- Trust lead for external audit and internal audit, including actioning any management letter points- Oversee the payroll financial records, including review of reconciliation of control accounts, review of upload to budgeting system and acting as Trust point of contact with external payroll provider- Attendance at Trust Risk and Audit Committee- Heavily involved with the preparation of annual budgets, including developing assumptions, reviewing drafts and liaising with other leaders. Compile benchmarking to aid budgetary decisions; and - Competent user of PS Financials (Accounting package) and IMP (budgeting package).
