ABOUT KEVIN GODWIN

I have a solid & proven ability to plan, execute and oversee the construction of various designs of plant facilities, buildings and structures including structural steel, welding, fabrication, setting of plant equipment and other discipline scopes of work. This includes both commercial & heavy industrial sectors. Emerging through multi discipline trades, I have served at the craft level working up to management. I am very knowledgeable in troubleshooting for design errors, vendor fabrication errors, and installation errors, verifying code compliance, specifications of equipment storage preventive maintenance & installation requirements. I am very versed on the normal construction procedures of RFI submittals, including non-conformance & recommendations for engineering dispositions. I have a strong background in pre-construction phase planning, including performing constructability studies, working together with design engineers with input on design solutions that prove to be safer and cost-effective during construction. I am very detailed in augmenting opportunities to eliminate or reduce safety hazards, mitigation of hazards whilst supporting productivity. I have thirty-eight years in the construction trades from commercial office buildings, hospitals, parking decks. On the heavy industrial side, I am very experienced performing outage maintenance and new builds of foundries, pulp & paper mills, quarries, mining facilities including power generation plants, nuclear, natural gas, wood, trash, coal and renewable energy projects. My overall experience has paved the way for my opportunities to work project pursuits, planning, writing execution plans, and client presentations. I have performed many portions of the project estimates, including projected direct & indirect man-hours, durations, equipment needs, tooling & training of manpower.Specialties: Heavy Industrial Construction Management & Project Execution Planning
